Ursula Miller

As Communications Director, Ursula is responsible for external client communications, including logos, emails, collateral materials, and publications. She focuses on consistent messaging, product quality, and appropriate content and messaging. She works closely with the account and event staff and client contacts for review and approval of communications materials.

While at PMR, Ursula has provided communications and design support for all association clients, including print and web/digital design and production support. Recently she developed the event logo, invitation postcard, onsite program, and signage for PAMA’s Northeast Regional Air Symposium (NERAS). She is also developing the event identities for AFCEA NOVA’s IT Day series (Army, Air Force, Navy, Warfighters). For these 1,000+ person conferences, she implements a consistent look and feel throughout all event materials.

Ursula has developed printed mailers, for events and membership recruitment, for current and past clients such PAMA, WHF, and AIC. She has created email templates and standard designs for WBA and AFFIRM, and promotional flyers for WBA and PMIWDC.

Ursula hones her skills through classes at the Corcoran College of Art + Design’s Continuing Education program and Graduate School USA. She is an active member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals and AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts). Ursula passed Adobe's Certified Expert exam in Photoshop CS6 in October 2012 and Adobe's Certified Expert exam in Illustrator CS6 in August 2013, earning her the designation of ACE. The certification demonstrates Ursula's proficiency in Adobe digital communications tools, specifically Photoshop. She is currently pursuing the Adobe Certified Expert – Master certification.

Prior to joining PMR, Ursula was a Senior Program Instructor at the Close Up Foundation, where she worked with high school students visiting DC as an extension of their civic education. She also managed other instructors and organized and supervised educational field trips to sites and events in the Washington, DC area.

Ursula attended Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University.
